That's right Ladies and Gents we are back and better than ever, & ready to see all our Great Friends again.
ShadowCon XXV - Covid 19 Updated Sept. 2, 2021
We are committed to hosting a convention that would help protect our fans from the spread of COVID while keeping the fun and memorable events that ShadowCon is known for hosting. As the number of COVID related cases continues to climb, it becomes clear that we need to update our health and safety protocols in order to keep that commitment. With the Delta variant causing more COVID-19 cases worldwide, including “breakthrough” infections of vaccinated individuals, we must make changes to our COVID protocols including requiring all who attend the convention to show proof of vaccination (including the booster, if you have reached the 8th month from your original date of vaccination) or a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of arrival before entering the convention.
Appropriate face masks will be required at all times inside convention venues regardless of vaccination status, in keeping with updated CDC guidelines and Shelby County Department of Health requirements. Plan to bring your own high quality masks. If somebody forgets a mask, disposable masks will be available throughout the event at registration and security staff will have a few with them, as well.
We have adopted enhanced cleaning protocols and are committed to delivering above and beyond the sanitation standards established. All panel rooms and programming spaces will be closed twice a day for deep cleaning – once during the day and once overnight. These closures will happen on a rolling basis, so there will ALWAYS be lots of programming options to choose from.
Note these requirements are for the Convention areas only – for Hotel areas such as the restaurant check with the hotel staff for their guidelines – and what you do in your private room is none of our business.
We want to thank everyone for your patience as we worked through these details. These last few months have seen many changes as it relates to the pandemic and recommendations for keeping everyone safe. In response, we’ve adopted a number of health and safety protocols designed to help reduce the spread of COVID while making the convention fun and memorable for all people both fans and con staff members.. We will continue to evaluate our policies and procedures and follow the guidance of public health officials in order to keep the convention as safe as possible for those who attend.
Thanks You in advance for helping us in following the guidelines . Also check the Con website and Facebook page for any update between now and the convention dates. As some requirements are subject to change from new issues of guidelines between now and the con.
